How do you know if you rice is cooked perfectly?



>Most rice is 2 parts water, 1 part rice.  Add olive oil and kosher salt.  Turn up the heat up on the stove quite high and put the pot of rice on the burner.   Let it come to a full, rolling boil, cover & lower the heat to simmer. Let it simmer, UNDISTURBED, until the free water evaporates and little holes appear in the surface of the rice. Reason with salt and butter to your tastes.
