Chef Aaron Butler started his career in the hospitality industry at the young age of 15. Hired as a dishwasher, he soon understood the importance of working together as a team to make everything run smoothly in the kitchen. His peers recognized his work ethic and offered to train him in other areas of the kitchen. Soon he learned how to properly prepare food, grill, sauté, bake, fry, and present food that tasted as good as it looked.
Aaron joined the US Navy at the young age of 17 and went on to cook on the Aircraft Carrier, the USS Tarawa. He spent the next four years cooking and served three tours in the Persian Gulf during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Realizing his love for cooking, his passion soon grew into a goal to become something great in the food industry. Chef Aaron was driven to sharpen his culinary skills and take this as a full time career.
When He got out of the Navy he decided to go to Culinary School, and not just any school would do. He wanted the best education from one of the top rated schools in the world, Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina. He Graduated on the Deans List and was eager to show everyone that even though he was young, he was talented and driven to be a leader.
Within One year of graduating he became the Sous Chef of Arthur’s Catering in Orlando, FL. This experience influenced his decision to own a catering company someday. Chef Aaron continued to grow his experience as a Sous Chef as Executive Chef of local restaurants including Chef Arthur’s in Maitland, and Hot Olives in Winter Park. In between his full time jobs, he began catering small parties and events. After a few years Chef Aaron decided it was time to take a chance and create the business plan that would soon become the catering company Creations by Chef Aaron LLC, now known as Creations Catering & Events.
Over the years Chef Aaron and his team have enjoyed numerous testimonials from happy clients, and won several awards as best Catering Company in Altamonte, Brides Choice from Wedding Wire, and Best Wedding Caterer in Orlando by The Knot.
Monica joined the Creations Catering and Events team over two years ago. She started out as a server and was quickly promoted to Kitchen Manager. She has now progressed to an Event Planner due to her strong work ethics and love of the business. Monica has been in the hospitality industry for nearly 17 years, where she started out at the bottom as a cashier and worked her way up. She is a valuable asset to the company and takes pride in helping make every aspect of the event a memorable one.
